My Easter weekend in Venice!

This was the first time I visited Venice. It's so magical, I loved it!

I arrived there on Friday in the morning and came back home yesterday in the evening. It wasn't much, but it was enough to visit the city and the most important sightseeings.
The thing that impressed me a lot was the fascinating lagoon. People use boats and steamers to move from a place to an other. The waterbuses replace the traditional busese and all the canals replace the streets.
That is really special and unique.
I also visited Burano and Murano. These are two islands famous for the particular colorful houses(Burano) and for the glass manufacturing(Murano).
I want to share with you the photos I took there.

Pumpkin Risotto.

This is one of  my favourite recipe. It's really easy to do but  I think it's also elegant and refined!
Ingredients for 2 people.
U need:
  • 1 vegetable stock cube (for the broth)
  • 50 gr Butter
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 50 gr Parmesan cheese
  • 200 gr rice
  • 200 gr Pumpkin.
Now let's do it!
Prepare the vegetable broth in a pot; wash the pumpkin, remove the seeds and dice it.

Put the diced pieces into the pot with the broth and remove the pumpkin 10 minutes after the broth boils.
Then drain it and blend it, making a sort of cream, but do not throw the broth away! You’ll need it for the next steps.
Meanwhile put in a big pan the butter and brown the chopped onion with a bit of salt.
Fry the onion until it is tender, add the rice and a ladle of broth; mix it for 10 minutes, then add your “pumpkin cream“.
Cook the rice for about 20 minutes adding the broth litte by little and mixing it.
2 minutes before it’s done, add a little of butter and the Parmesan cheese(never stop mixing)

Then you can serve it!
Bon appétit!
